Planting bulbs
To finish off our gardening club for Christmas we planted daffodil bulbs and crocus bulbs. We drew pictures of the flowers and tried to write their names. We enjoyed getting very messy indeed.
What a busy few weeks we've had
We pulled up some of the leeks that the ECO Council grew and Mrs Davies washed them, cut them up and cooked them for us to try. Some of us dived in straight away but some of us needed a little coaxing. They were super tasty!
We made scarecrows out of card and sticks and they look fabulous in our garden.

To help feed the birds we made some bird feeders out of kitchen roll holders, peanut butter and bird seed. They smelled good enough to eat.

Finishing off from last week!!
Today we finished the pots we were planting up and they look really pretty. We added Iris bulbs to the big planter and then put Violas on top to make it look fabulous. It was very cold and windy today but we made sure we had our coats on and the gardening gloves kept our fingers nice and toasty warm. Next week we might be making paper scarecrows!

Planting
We are still de-weeding some of the vegetable tubs but the ones we have done we are now planting bulbs. We have planted tulips and daffodil bulbs. We have also planted small flower containers to brighten up the junior yard. They do look lovely.
Welcome to Gardening Club
Last term the ECO Council planted vegetables in our garden containers. We had lots of green beans and sweetcorn. The leeks are still growing and we have baby beetroot. The new Garedening Club have been busy de-weeding the garden and picking the remainder of the beans.
